Hello there,
I'm a 25 year old female looking to meet up with some more experienced climbers.
I've been climbing several times, exclusively at the RRG. I have completed Bedtime for Bonzo on-sight once, and about 5 sport routes, whose names escape me. It's been about 2 years since I've been climbing, but I'm really looking forward to getting back into it. I haven't spent the money on ropes, shoes, and such because I need instruction on leading.
I'm hoping for a female instructor with extra shoes. If this is not possible, I am willing to swing by and pick up a pair on our way out of town. (I live in Lexington) I know my way around the gorge fairly well. Since I haven't been in with the climbing community, I've been hiking the trails each spring and summer. I have a car, and don't mind taking care of the travel expense in exchange for a little lead climbing instruction. If you are interested in helping an eager, fast learning, peaceful young climber, let me know.
Looking for guide, or group..

And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.

My suggestion, apart from going with Redriveroutdoors is to go into the bouldering gym in Lexington. Bluegrass Bouldering is a fine gym, where you can meet people that are headed to the Red all the time. It is a bouldering gym, but don't be scared. You will learn better climbing skills there and meet new friends that would be happy to bring you along to the Red.

wow, just like a lemming...
If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

Thanks for the replys..
I've been curious to waltz into Bluegrass Bouldering since I heard they were opening. I'll check them out.
See you at the Red, that is, unless I decide to hurl myself off a cliff with hundreds of others.
