I love all the misunderstandings of history with people suggesting transistor radio or hearing aid years before the transistor was invented. It is weird though.

Its a fucking advertisement for this dudes crappy b-rated movies. There's a million things she could be doing, talking on a cell phone is not one of them, unless of course she figured out how to time travel in the 1980's and decided to take her car phone with her, I would have expected blue tooth at least

What hearing aides looked like in 1924:

Plus, even a time-traveler couldn't talk on a cell phone when there aren't any cell phone towers yet.

That was my thought, but if time travel exists, then I'm sure they have a time traveling cell phone technology. But then, wouldn't they have a better form factor, or intra-ear recievers or something.

The biggest problem that I see for time traveling is you have to land in four dimensional space. Thats X,Y,Z and T. Theres nothing like building the machine to do it then landing where the earth isn't. Or better yet, landing inside something solid. If you want to find out if time travel is possible. Find a closed off chamber in the ground. Like a cave that doesn't have and entrance. build an access to the chamber for the travelers to escape. This chamber would be eons old so even if they messed up a little then they would still be alive and able to go forward again. Then make an internet site and simo-broadcast from three different transmitters the co-ordinates to the chamber. People in the future would be able to tune in and land inside the chamber. All you gotta do is wait for someone to step out of the chamber. Them viola! You've proven time travel theory. When they make the movie, I want Jack Black to play me!
