This is just a shot in the dark, but I believe that is our access level. Ray has all of his filled up while us lowly message posters' only have one.

i suspect that they are actually related to how many posts we have made. gumby's get one and as you move up the echelon you get more mountains.

Yea, they're rank images. The more you post, the more mountains you get. I wouldn't exactly call it moving "up" the echelon though.
