climbing in late october

All,

I will be in Louisville, KY, Oct.27-Oct.31. I googled climbing locations in that area, but found my search to be luck-less. The red is roughly two hours away, and I would love to venture in its direction, but I will be in several media conferences and without a vehicle, so transportation will be my primary issue. I will be staying at the Galt House Hotel. (I did find a climbing gym.....though I'd rather climb on rocks.)

any suggestions/help, or if anyone can meet up somewhere (somewhere a taxi can take me), I will grandly appreciate it.

You need to come down to the RRG to climb, it will be worth it. Hopefully someone from the Louisville area can give you a ride and a belay. If not broaden your search to see if someone will meet you at Miguels one day and you can just rent a car.

To be honest there is only Rocksport in the Louisville area. It is a nice gym, i believe the bouldering wall just got finished. I would recommend going to RRG though.
