Looking for someone to do The Upper and maybe the Lower exum on the Grand Teton with as well as The Cirque of Towers in the Wind River Range . We could go to Wild Iris or some other crag for a few days to get aquainted before we tackle an alpine route.
Headed out August 9th by myself. Duration: till end of August. If someone wanted to ride w/ me that would kick ass!
A little about me: I've been climbing for about 5 years. I've climbed mostly in the southeast. Linville, Shortoff, Looking Glass, Eldo, Moore's, The New, The Red, Stone, etc. I mostly enjoy long routes!!! I've never done any alpine stuff however. Looking to change that soon.
Ability wise: I onsite 5.7-5.8 trad, mid 10 sport, and can follow up to an easy 11 if I take rests on gear or the rope. Guessing I could lead Alpine 5.6 w/ pack and follow 5.8-5.9.
My temperment: I'm 25 years old, laid-back, patient, try to keep an open mind, keep a good sense of humor, motivated by inspiring routes routes vs technical grades, and enjoy adventurous remote places.
In case you dont want anything to do with big routes, I'd be interested in cragging too (provided I dont find a partner to do the Grand with).
