Made in Italy is a selling point? Because the Italians are mechanical engineering marvels?

It's just made in Italy Mike. What is wrong or rights with Italy? A lot of things are made in Italy. Can you afford their shoes?

I thought you were already buying a new gadget from OW that was the coolest..has that already been supplanted in your mind? if so, remind em to never take you car shopping.

Kipp you kill me; always holding me to a higher standard. When I was in SLC last week a dealer showed me the Clickup. I liked it. Later I tried the Mammat Smart at the BD store. I did not like it as well. The rope tends to jump off the track. The Clickup holds the rope at its functional position better than the Smart. The reason I started the other thread is that I found it curious that all these simple auto-locking/auto-blocking devices are coming out concurrently. I agree with OW's critique more or less. However, there is a version of the Smart that handles two ropes and one can belay a 2nd with this device too. I am not an impulse buyer. I purchased neither at the time. The Clickup could rival the gri in popularity in the next couple years. The main plus points are price and simplicity.

Just ordered it on line from Opentip.com for 49.95 + shipping. Saw one in use up at the gunks and seemed really simple to use.
