Car Break In's
Susan asked me to make a post on here letting everyone know that there have a been numerous break in's around the southern region. This happened pretty frequently a couple of years ago and now it looks like they're picking back up. Just a heads up. Keep your valuables out of your car.
I saw an ol' boy driving a Mule ( http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/Produc ... =15&id=474 or something similar) around in there last weekend. Couldn;t tell if he was with the oil co. or not, but as I passed him near the lode lot he made a quick glance back at my license plate. But everyone in that area as a four wheeler, so it could be anyone.

Well, If you put on your thinking caps and look at the evidence you'll see that it couldn't have been a person on a four wheeler thats the perp. 1) if you are on a four wheeler then a) you're from out of town i.e. Ohioan. So being from out of town you're not going to haul your ATV to Lee county with your truck to go theiving on Bald Rock Road. Just doesn't make sense to go through all that trouble to pilfer a car. b) it makes more sense to say that its a local but not on a ATV, and I'll tell you why. If you are local and you own a ATV you are fairly well off as ATV's are not real grocery getters so at best its a secondary vehicle. By and large people who have there shit on the ball enough to own two vehicles and one is just for pleasure are not going to be the ones busting windows for loose change. What you should look for is a 1984 monty carlo SS with bad exhaust and dark tint on the windows and at least three people in the car. All sitting up front. I've seen them do this shit before and the way it works is one does the B-n-E and the other two are look outs. If theres four people then one will be a dedicated driver. At least one of them will be armed with something. It may not be a gun, but at least one of the group will have a knife or a stick or a ball bat or something. Confront these fools at your own risk.
My personal Idea of protection in the S.R. is I always pack a gun on my person. I never leave anything of value in the truck and I leave the doors unlocked the ash try empty of change and open and everything is basically open with the windows down. when they pull up and see your car like that, they may look inside but there is nothing of value to take.

If you give a man a match, he'll be warm for a minute. If you set him on fire, he'll be warm for the rest of his life!
I heard a few months back that one of the bad apples had gotten out of jail. he'd been busted repeatedly for breaking into vehicles. It was actually a guy driving a mule (with his wife in a camo suit) who warned me about it. My best memory was the guy on the mule telling me how the thief wasn't worth the price of the bullet to kill him with, that's why he preferred to carry a blade. just slice his neck, wipe the blade off on your pants, and kick him into a culvert and drive off. That was his advice at least.
all you haters die slow.

I'm pretty sure the people driving the mule own property next to the PMRP off SR 11. I have spoken with them before and they seemed to be very nice.
