Cabin at Seneca

I'm looking for recommendations on a good cabin to rent near Seneca. I'm going out there for my honeymoon so I'd like something quiet and small. Most of the websites I've seen don't seem like great fits. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I know a great motel just up the road from SR with sweet as bathroom fixtures. Purple porcelain...who knew?

Most of the rental property in the Germany Valley is locked up with a few families. Keeps the quickie marts and mc fried burger joints out, but can limit your options. Have you widened your search to the Davis / Canaan Valley area? Heaps more options over there. You're a little further from Seneca Rocks, but closer to Mt State Brewing in Thomas. Ahhh the trade offs, but you learn all about those in marriage.

Maybe try someone at the Gendarme? They might have the low down on some sort of off the internets crib around SR.

I noticed the rooms you get at Yokums are only a bit nicer than the ones they had at 4U. The 4U resturaunt is closed now. There's a decent one farther up the same road. A cabin would be sweet. I don't remember seeing any though. Take a couple gallons of spring water with you.The water tends to smell bad and not taste too good. Maybe it gets better later in the year. The last two times I went were in the springtime. The climbing is outstanding in spite of the amenaties. Hanging out at the climbing school in the mornings is nice too.

What huh?!?!? ynot, say it ain't so. The 4U is closed? For good?

It was last spring. Word I got at the other resturaunt is the owner is getting too old to run it. We tried the resturaunt on the road to Petersburg and the food was kinda lousy both times. I really missed the awesome breakfasts at 4u.
