Still in its infancy, but worked nicely.

We were going through some training Sunday with volunteers on belay take-overs, ascending to stuck/injured climbers, low-angle litter rigging, etc., when a guy came running up to report an accident. Had the woman treated and evacuated in minutes. Big thanks to all volunteers who helped! With a bit of training and good gear, informal SAR works. Climbers helping climbers.

We will be happy to share our SAR plan, training, and gear for others in other climbing areas. Just shoot me a PM. Free training (NFPA, KyEM, YOSAR standards) will be scheduled after Memorial Day.

When I saw you at Johnny's on Sunday I though about asking you how the Volunteer SAR was going, but you were on belay/ beta duty. I would have loved to take part in the training, I just didn't know it was going on. Let us know if/when you're thinking about hosting some more.

You and your wife are very generous people.
