Hamsco bolted, worked and sent a new line saturday. Should read: unaesthetic line, with marginal rock quality, severe rope drag and questionable anchor integrity... The downside of course was a complete cleanup of the base of the route by Russ. grade being somewhere between 5.6 and 5.10B Location? don't ask me I sure as hell couldn't find it again.

You must still be dizzy from riding around in circles... downside? I thought the most redeeming quality of the route was the belay.

My friend Redpoint is training for Twinkie. My friend Saxman is looking for a good for a good defense lawyer to help him if he gets in a suit because he opened a gym. My friend Clevis has been nice to people lately - which is wierd. My friend JR and Driscoll team gated the entire gorge. My friend Meadows got mad at my friend Clevis. My friend Rick bought half the gorge and is looking to buy the other half. And my friend Miguel sat back and laughed at all of us as he counted his millions.

I dont really get to climb with either of them, but Ray and Kris: Just a few years back, neither knew what an expansion bolt was. Now, they both climb upper 13. How did this happen? And both went from first 13a to first 13c in 2 years or less. Is it just me, or did they figure something out?

they figured something out.

my friend dc1 (doug curth) was at the red last weekend with me for his last time for a long time.... moving to Denver next month. I quite enjoyed watching him crush everything he touched even though he was taking it easy and just having a good time at the red like he has done for years.

i wish him great journeys ahead and thank him for the time he spent with a gumby like me.... he'll be missed here but welcomed there.
And on the third day, God created the Red River Gorge(by conjecture), and he saw that it was good.

I saw my buddy send Eureka. I still don't know why he did it or how. That thing is hard.

I think it goes beyond that. I have a friend who trains non-stop, but hasn't hit the 12 mark. So much is about applying the proper stimulus in the correct dosage (please try to ignore the obvious joke), and having a clear, defineable goal in mind to work towards.
