Poker face

Post by Clevis Hitch »

I am putting together a card game. Its either going to be a euchere tournament or a texas holdem tournament or maybe both by alternating weekends. So help me out and tell me what you want. I'll be running a few poles to get it right. They'll all be held at Keiths in Zachariah on Saturday nights. It'll start about an hour after sunset to give you time to get something to eat and the entry will be $5-$10. I've also looked at doing it online and getting people to pay the entry fee on paypal. All the proceeds will go to the CC.(Yikes!!) I plan on getting gear manufacturers to kick in some swag for prizes. Here we go!

After I read those two sentences, I couldn't help but read the rest of your post imagining that you've got some poor folks of the Polish persuasion held captive in Keith's basement, Pulp Fiction style...

I'd be down with some poker. To make it a game, the winner should walk home with something though. If you need chips, I have enough to support at least a 15 person game.

I'm gonna hit up the beer store, I think a suitcase of PBR should attract a crowd. I am also gonna hit up some gear manufacturers. Maybe a couple of used car lots and a bank or two.

Well...you know me

Looks like it might be a switch off between Texas Holdem' and Euchere.

I just want you to know I've done extensive post-doc studies in euchere. I have a graduate degree in card games (Enviromental studies/Leisure studies) and my Doctorial Thesis was "Advanced Euchere Theory and Patterning"

Not possible, unless you're originally from Wisconsin/Michigan/Minnesota, which I highly doubt...
