How would you grade the RRGCC's performance for 2009? Even if you cannot attend the 2/6/2010 meeting we would welcome your input.

1. raised money and kept up the property during a very difficult time. economically and weather/propertywise.

2. more routes more access to/reaccess to property for climbing.

3. i will never give up on wanting the arena reopened even though is may be a lost cause - same for pocket wall and access to state park lands - other recreational groups have access and they do lots more impact than climbers do.

I thought rocktoberfest was really good. I like the idea of having coalition meetings in the evening, more more people will likely make it (myself included)

Maybe more smaller project days, it always seems that every major trail day, though usually a huge success, becomes a big clusterfuck by the end of the day. Maybe more smaller group days like clearing out trails after the ice storm and the roadside day would keep up involvement year round.

We seem to be making our yearly payments so we mush be doing something right. I just hope it continues.

also, someone mentioned to me that the meetings (or at least updates) should be held at the gyms in cincy,indy, and the ville so more people would be aware and involved. hoding them at torrent might lower participation.

Obviously raising the money, and preserving the access we have is huge.

I think as an organization looking out into the near future when the PMRP debt is paid off we should have next steps. People will continue to step up and give time and money if the coalition has plans for securing more land through purchase, negotiation, etc. If we all kick back and relax after the PMRP is paid off we could miss some big opportunities. The cost of land will only increase....

And +1 on getting access to arena.

not a bad idea. you could have them during the week then too. You could even create fund raising competitions between cities

I think you guys are doing great! Like most everyone else, I personally would like to see access to Arena, Oil Crack, and Pocket Wall happen. I am also very hopeful for a streamlined and efficient system for adding worthwhile, low-impact routes and replacing bolts at USFS and Clifty wilderness crags.

I think overall performance was awesome. However, I'd like to see the marketing stepped up a bit, especially with the website. Red Rock Rendezvous has a year round website for info on their festival/event. Rocktoberfest info wasn't available online until less than a month before the event, and well after the ad was placed in Rock and Ice.

I think you continue to do a great job, but I agree with occasionally holding some meetings in Cincy, Lexington, etc. also a little more advance notice on the meeting dates would be good, I know I often have my schedule set and am working on the dates before they are announced
