You mean not everybody does? I mean eating that nasty crust would be like eating the peel of a apple or worse yet a peach........

I gather up all the little crust parts and mail them to Paul.

I used to hate getting the heels of a loaf of bread when I was a kid. It was like"aww man!!"
As an adult I got away from that and now when I open a bread sack and I see three pieces and two off them are heels, I'm psyched! I eat the heels and leave the full piece. I feel like I'm being so efficient! I like the feeling of being greatful for everything that I have and when I get to eat the heels I fell even more so. Its like saying a little prayer of thanks!

I cut the crust off of Ben's sandwich's, then I eat it. I have some weird issue with throwing away that much of the sandwich.

I hate the heels, so in trying to be a good, new wife, I always made my sandwiches out of the heels so my ex could have the "good" slices. After a while when the honeymoon was over, he asked me one day, "How come you always get the heels? I'd like to have the heels sometimes."
There you go....should have seen it coming!

I don't. And I hate it when other people do, then toss them. Pet peeve of mine I guess, but it seems wasteful--and the crust is the best part!

my dogs always get the leftover sandwich nasty bits. they love it when the loaf of bread is running low, and i remember when they actually used to slice bread to have one heel piece. now the lazy little slicer munchkins make like, 4 or 5 pieces with heel bits on them...totally unacceptable...but the dogs are happy...

Ps. Yasi do you? I bet you don't. What can you tell about a person by how they eat their pb&j?
