If you own a treadmill that you use regularly, have you had to use the warranty? If so, how often and for what?

I'm thinking about buying a used treadmill, which would likely void any warranty that may have come with it. I'm wondering if the money I save by buying used would later on be canceled out by paying for expensive repairs down the line.

I have almost 3000 miles on mine in just under 3 years. I have to lube the belt more frequently than when I first got it. Other than that, no issues.

I bought the Horizon CST 3.6 with a 2.0 horsepower motor. I don't know what they come with these days. This one was purchased in 2007.

With anything, it could have broken the first week I had it or it may never have a problem. If it is a substantial discount, roll the dice.

I will say that the #1 feature, in my opinion, is the flexible deck. Saves wear and tear on the joints. When I travel and the hotel has a crummy treadmill with a stiff deck, my knees and hips hurt the whole day.

also, always run on at least a 2% grade....that 2% simulates flat ground outside

I've had a Horizon elliptical trainer and treadmill. Both are really good quality. Never had a problem with either.

i just bought a used one from my neighbor. It's a very low line cheap one but does alright. My only complaint is that the MPH on it is WAYYYY off...so I can't pay attention to that or even trust how far I've gone. I can only run by time.
