$500+ NZ dollars for a 10.5 x 60.

This is waaaay worse than the time JB and I got to the crag and realized neither of us brought a rope.

Tell me about it...(although the dollar IS weak right now)


When I had to buy a new pair of climbing shoes, I was forced to buy some kinda' "entry level" shoe because they were ONLY $175...

Never mind a new rope..or cams or..


Green lipped mussels and fresh mutton were cheap though..

that does suck, but I bet you can come up with a whole bunch more reasons why the kiwi's are great!

they are flightless and easy to catch

where you guys climbing at currently? the new years party at Payne's is supposed to be pretty good, maybe too much of a scene though. if you bump into a couple from Utah on their honeymoon, thats my brother. i think he's there for a couple months.

In Gisbore. Crazy busy with all the people on holiday and the New Year's Eve music fests. No climbing, just beaches.

Found cheap climbing shoes on sale in Wellington, but don't need shoes. Rope and hardware are super expensive. Going to get someone to bring us back a rope when they return next month.

There are heaps of reasons that NZ doesn't suck. I won't go on and on about them as so to not make ya'll jealous.

i dont know how little a $500 rope is. thats pretty damn spendy! I guess you all should just go bouldering then
