Splitter Gear

Does anyone know anything about Splitter Gear 2 and 4 camming units? How they stack up to Aliens or TCUs? Are they more for aid climbing or free climbing?

As far as I am concerned there are no cams that stack up against the entire set of Alien cams. Also, several of the first generation Splitter gear cams have been recalled.
