so ive heard a lot of stories behinde naming of routes like take that katie brown but there probably are a lot more out there. so lets hear 'em

I was thinking the same thing just the other day. Mercy the Huff is a great one, so is Stunning the Hog, but those should probably not make the air.

LOL I had dinner with porter and hugh a month ago, and we had this same discussion. Porter was telling us where he got his route names from, it was hilarious.

take a few of your beginner buddies to the Practice wall in muir and climb Ai bang ma fukin ni...suitable...and although I have climbed those little routes a thousand times...someone always seems to bang their friggin knee...including me.

Night Moves in Muir got its name because it was bolted and FAed in the dark with headlamps. Battery Life next to it was because the rock there is so hard that it took 2 full batteries to drill the route when most don't even require one battery charge.

Bathtub Mary at the Arsenal. Back home in Illinois in the cornfields you'd see these Catholic famers with homemade shrines to the Virgin Mother Mary. There she'd be, hands outstretched, encircled by a porcelain bathtub buried halfway in the ground. We grew up calling em bathtub Mary's....
