Time Out on Session

Post by captain static »

I was in the middle of putting together a post responding to the question on getting permission to bolt on FS land. I had been regularly previewing the post to keep my session active. Just after previewing I got up and walked away for about a minute to come back to a message that my session had timed out. Is this a glitch or is there a certain limit where your session will automatically time out? Kinda frustrating that I have to now go back and try to recreate my post.

the back button may help you save your text, then just copy and past
How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared

That was the first thing I tried. Just got a explorer screen the page has expired. I wasn't being as diligent as I sometimes am where I periodically copy and save the text. Anyways got the post back together and up.

My work has blocked gmail and I have a website using some sort of PHP proxy that lets me get to my gmail. Unfortunately it's not perfect and I sometimes have an issue like this where I'll type a longggg email and lose it.

Now I have the habit of anytime I'm typing something long into a browser, I copy it before I hit submit/send just in case. Has saved me a few times.
