gentle reminder

Post by anticlmber »

for all the bluff scalers, pebble wrasslers, tard climbers, and such i would like to say, please be safe and careful out there in the woods. look at all sides of a possible outcome and don't get suckered in by machismo, peer-pressure, or hubris.

also, i would like to remind everyone, EVERYONE is a steward of this life, sport, activity, whatever you call it; please set a positive example. when out at the cliff if you see garbage, pick it up. if you see a safety issue, say something to prevent an injury. if you see an injury, help out. if its making the 911 call, providing medical attention (if trained), assisting the SAR team, whatever it is, please help your fellow climber/human being. everyone likes to bash the new climbers and forget when they were the ones walking around in their harness and shoes, or gang-banging a 5.6 with all their friends. many of the bashers are the same folks we were making fun of 7+ years ago. we all share in this journey and should be guides when we can and followers when we need to be.

Or, he's just realized he's been a dick for the last six years.

longer than six and i don't plan on changing.

i just say this so i don't have to stop my day to help you if you get hurt. i don't mind doing it but i think we all would rather spend our days upright and conscious.

see you on the ground DipChit.

Well said.
And, a big thank you to the climbers at Roadside yesterday that helped the Menifee County SAR folks evacuate the young climber with head injury. (The sixth ambulance run to Roadside this year!)

Although Roadside is in Wolfe Co, we were busy at the time rescuing a guy who fell 50 feet near Princess Arch and called in Menifee to take care of the Roadside fall. The last couple weeks has been a bit crazy down here.

and be friendly - loan out your stick clip for those who forgot to bring theirs or may not have one. :-)

I think Anti's experience in nursing school is kinda like the Grinch's trip into Who-ville.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.
