Chalk Junkie

Post by Caspian »

Ok, I am trying to find a really deep chalk bag, like one you can sink your arm in down to your elbow....ok, maybe not that deep, but one you can at least get the back of your hand in and chalked easily, probably up past your wrist. I know they are out there cause I have seen them. It just doesn't seem like they make many I can get more than my fingers in without dumping the bag out with it....short of clipping a bouldering bag to my harness, if there are any ideas feel free. thanks.

Sam Krieg makes "Houston" chalk bags for big hands (Named after Greg Houston....big guy). Lexington Rocks has carried them (may still have them) and probably Miguel's. Krieg chalk bags are really well made too, not to mention they are super cozy.
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.

You don't need chalk, save your money for some Ale 8 and Nutty Bars at the Chevron!
I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.

Crack IS whack, but Kreig bags are great! I got mine from Miguel (smallish in a great white-on-blue Polynesian faux-batik floral print - a.k.a. "flowers fer guys") Keeps the chalk in and gets it on my hands when I want! Back in late 2001, Kreig was dolling out free stars-and-stripes bags to anyone who donated us$20 to the Red Cross! (Of course, there are serious problems with the US Red Cross, but the intent was very impressive - by the way DONATE BLOOD! Easy for me to rant about it because I can't)

Anyway, Kreig bags may not come in iMac translucent plastic like some companies', but they work well and hold up!

Thank all for the help. I will check it out, but I have a feeling I will just end up making my own if I cant find one that feeds my need for the white stuff.

I promised myself I wouldn't get a sequenced bag or wear brightly colored lycra until I could climb hard enough that I won't get my ass kicked.....
