I wish I knew. I heard about it a couple years ago and have never found anyone that actually has seen it or been to it. I read that it is actually the tallest of all the chimney rocks in the state. Is this true?
I also heard it was in Garrard county too.

It's near Camp Nelson and High Bridge. I'll see if I can get directions. I'm thinking Eric Cox may know right where it is since he has canoed in that area quite often.

It's at Polly's Bend. AKA Candlestick Rock.

dipsi, you're the best. it looks like you can take polly's bend, park alongside the road and follow the cliff line (top or bottom?) to get out there.

it might be choss, pig, but let a man dream. if nothing else. i'd really just like to check it out.

Nice guess Di!
I have the charts on the KY river and found it one day. I saw a photo once of some old timers with a make shift ladder standing on the top, so forget any FA's. There is a 60 mile section of the KY river that has 200+ foot cliffs. I've paddled most of that section and saw maybe a few places where you might climb. Breathtaking to look at, but if limestone choss is your game, rack up, grab an extra set of balls (you will need them) and go for it.
Oh yeah, better have a boat.
Good Luck!!

forget the FA's? what????? ladders are cheating (like prehung draws) and if you call the rhodo off then they haven't sent.
