Anyone have any idea how wet Indian Creek cracks stay? Will a few days of no rain dry them up? Any experience?

They stay pretty wet up there. You are talking about the Red and not Utah, right?

Yeah, the Red....was planning on this weekend if the weather can hold out long enough. Or is it one of those crags that doesn't get dry till the fall?

There are a lot of nooks and crannys in that crag so it tends to stay a bit damp during wet seasons.

Don't get your hopes up. Its rained like crazy or been super humid for weeks now. They may be dry, but once you stick your sweaty little paws in them they'll be quite slimy.

Thanks again for the advice. I figured Indian Creek a no go for this last weekend, but the weather was just perfect, and probably as perfect as it’s going to get this summer…so, paying little heed to the warning we got greedy and just went for it. Due to a flat tire and a stop in Winchester, along with a lack in big arms, big balls, and big gear, it made for a good short day. We hit up Crack Attack and Jims Dihedral which were incredible routes and turned out to be bone dry and in the shade all day. Almost everything looked dry except for a few green dank corners. I cannot wait to get some big gear someday and get back there.

Wicked Tribe, I would agree that if it wasn’t such a cool weekend, sweaty hands would make those climbs slick.

Thanks again all

So, too add to the weather beta. I think with maybe 3 or more dry days with a little breeze and low humidity should get that place pretty dry after a lot of rain. My guess if that place is dry....anywhere will be.
