Wow. Especially after reading Kipp's post about his gear being stolen, it is refreshing to hear someone (especially "a kid") taking responsibility for their actions.

My main advice to you, MA, is what many of us say all the time, "dont get caught up in the numbers game AND dont compare yourself to others". No one cares if you can scramble up a rock. It comes down to integrity, and it looks like you fell down, but you got back up again.

There is no pressure but what you put on yourself. Relax, have fun, and surround yourself with those that do the same.

Welcome to climbing. The only sport with no rules. There's Ethics, Tradition and Respect for the accomplioshments of those that came before you. But otherwise anything goes that puts a smile on your face. Actually there IS one rule: Just never lie about what you've done! Climb-Safe.
