I already PMd Rick, but I thought I'd let others know:
We went to Washboard Wall today and there were probably over 100 Ground Bees swarming around where the approach opens up at the wall. We were able to walk past them just fine, but when we got to the wall we realized there was a small hive below Tradmill and another much larger one in the dirt mound directly below Sticks and Stones.
We were on Barenjager and they left us pretty well alone, and i think you'd be fine on Brushfire, but that's about as far as I'd go. From the top pf Barenjager it looked like a lot of them were flying up into the cave, but I never got up there to check it out.

Ugh. Why do all the best crags always have problems. Washboard wall, more commonly known as "the motherlode of muir valley" houses nine, thats right, NINE of the most classic routes in the gorge. With super epic climbs such as "Bad Dentures," a 5.9 TR and Spider Crux, a 50 foot mixed 10b, this crag really has it all! I just don't know if a drive to the red is worth it with washboard wall out of the question...
I don't think I could climb in this heat wearing one of those.RValentine09 wrote:http://www.beecare.com/indexDynFrames.h ... Suit.htm&1
