Crap, I ate too much again!!

In response to the June Rock & Ice article "Too Thin To Win?" I wondered how many people striclty monitor their food intake and at what levels.

I currently take in ~2500 calories a day. My general weekly workout consists of:

Weekdays (M-F) Morning: 20 minutes Pilates and 3-5 miles treadmill or 30 - 40 minutes on stationary bike.

Monday & Thursday Evening: ~3 hours climbing workout with split focus on PE and Endurance. On Monday add 1 hour bouldering with focus on power (2-3 move power problems).

Tuesday & Wednesday Evening: 30-40 minutes on stationary bike while watching TV. :)

Friday Evening: Generally resting for climbing on weekend.

Saturday or Sunday climbing in the Red. The other day is spent mowing the lawn and resting.

I am 5'10" and weigh 180lbs. I have the wrong body type for climbing which makes it that much more fun.

I generally eat only whole foods. Fruits, veggies, peanut / almond butter. I also eat chicken and eggs quite often. My extended family says I eat too little. I think I'm ok with my intake. I could bump it up a little based on my activity level I guess. But it's not like I'm Michael Phelps spending 8 hours a day in a pool either. How many calories do you take in per day?

Brad, I am really starting to worry about you. I think you could send harder if you weren't spending your time shaking out on jugs on a route thinking about your calorie intake and exercise schedule.

I eat when I'm hungry, but I don't overeat too often. That's all you really have to do to suck instead of doing all that stuff you're doing. :)
efil lanrete... i enjoy the sound, but in truth i find this seductively backward idea to be quite frightening

Your poll sucks Brad! Where is the option for moderate overeaters in the 2000-2500 range?
I've been a gumby longer than you've been climbing.

yeah, that's true.... Look at it this way, that Burger King you had for breakfast and Taco Bell for lunch has you over the 2500 mark anyway. So just go ahead and punch the next to last option for me. Thanks.

Well, let's see... most athletes... those on a diet... people who give a crap about what they put in their body... people with eating disorders...

There are plenty!
