Just curious, I got out to do the deed but people are giving me shit about it. The cat was done for and in pain, I did not hit it myself but to leave it alone would have been inhumane in my eyes. Luckily, it died before I got the brick over to it.

where's the "stop & kill it then continue on your merry little way" option?

can't you just run over it again?

I'm guessing whatever you'd do, you'd do it twice.

I already double posted once so I didn't go back again. But that was my original intention. I thought about hiting with my car while I was there then thought it would look worse if I was repeatedly hitting a cat with my car to make sure it was dead.

Who would give you shit for putting an animal out of its misery?

My friend/neighbor had a cat that was an excellent hunter and brought home many nearly-dead chipmunks, young rabbits, and birds. Jenn couldn't bring herself to kill them, though she felt it should be done. So I put down many of those critters over a few years. And, yes, I took a lot of shit for it too, but felt it was the most humane thing to do.

There was one choice left off-you go ahead pray for the animal and do the deed, don't call animal control, but move the animal's body so that it won't be tore up anymore than it is.
