Tight Hollow?

Post by calbs25 »

Hi, I'm trying to find out where Tight Hollow is so I can see the old growth trees. Does anyone know a good way to get there?
Thanks

either through the back of mill creek area or you can renegade in near the auction lot.

honestly, it was alright but it isn't what you might think it is. there aren't a ton of big trees and getting around in there is kind of a pain. plus the stairs in/out are scary as all get out.

talk to deena at the hostel, she might have some better alternatives since its in her backyard area.

No real easy way unless you know a local. And the stairs are scary.

We parked on Rogers-Glencairn and tried coming in from Mill Creek. Very remote nice hike but it was getting late when we hit the wall of rhodos so we had to turn round before seeing any "trees".

Next we'll try coming from Rt 15. Where about are the steps, I'm thinking they are at about the center of this map.?:

thx

Looks like the shortest approach is from the parkway.

Considered hiking in from Mill Creek, knowing the terrain around Mill Creek though, I opted never to do that, though it is a very interesting place to explore so if you have all day and the weather is good it might not be a bad option. Definitely stick to the north shore of the lake til you get above it.

There are a lot of options that aren't too bad over private property, but getting permission isn't so easy. You could always just walk up and knock on someone's door. You never know...
