Muir Valley again open on a day-by-day basis

The road into Muir is reopened and will remain open so long as it doesn't rain. It dried out considerably this week to the point that it is again passable, even to 2WD vehicles.
Please drive slowly and try to avoid the existing ruts to help keep the road from getting worse until we can make repairs.
The road is still a long way from the condition in which we would like to have it. Rick graded it again today. We need a lot more gravel, but at this point it is too mushy to support tri-axle gravel trucks.
We will get this corrected as soon as we can. Thanks for bearing with us this past month.
