some people consider it to be training, others as climbing. you? the first thing that comes to your mind....

I only ever go when I need to get in shape. I have a 1 month membership to the local gym only because I'm going to Red Rocks in early March.

I do have fun while I'm there though, but it's not the reason I go, as outdoors is 10x as fun.

You need an option for both.

right--

but what comes to mind first?

another example: does anyone consider certain problems/routes in a gym to be their "projects", or is that title reserved for "real" climbing?

On more than one occasion I've had someone in the gym asking me what I'm working on and I respond with my list of projects at the Red. I don't really think of the gym as a place to go and "work" a route. I'm sure some people do though.

There are no Proj's in the gym. Either Piggy "Lowers the chains" or I crush it eventually.

Speaking of, Sorry about sending your Proj Shamis.

train. in fact i've stopped climbing 'problems' in my garage as it tends to mess with real climbing. instead i'm using system crimps and campus rungs to train specific weaknesses.
