All Slackers: Lets do this old school.....

Post by 512OW »

Ok, all you punks who didn't come see the show, you get one more chance. If you don't show up at Rocktoberfest, I'll personally see to it you never climb again. Period. You all missed the bling......your loss.

These people work their butts off for you to go climbing.....at least show up and show support.

I'll be rockin the crowd again at Rocktoberfest...with more songs for the climbers......of course, if Scin and Artsay have another party.........I may do an impromptu show.........

I'm not a religious man, but show up for Christs sake.

It looked like there were tons of people giving themselves digital rectal exams (sitting around with their tumbs up their...) over at Miguel's in the rain. Their loss - you tore it up! Anyone who's into the emenem school of hip-hop would have loved it but all climbers can appreciate your last piece!

Seriously - if you can put together a set's worth of climbing themed stuff you could probably get your ticket paid out to all sorts of climbing fests! (Think you can express that moment trying to top out a highball boulder? butt haning in the breeze, out of holds, pads in the wrong place, bros yelling 'you got it!' but you know you don't....)

(Just to be a complete dork - top 40 rap sucks as much as top 40 metal or country, but I've been trying to think of how to rewrite that stupid "It's getting hot in here" cut to be all about OW - "It's getting tight in here - gonna scrape off all my clothes..." That's all I've got  )

i really wanted to catch the odub show. i was a little confused though, the schedule of events listed on the rrgcc website said live music and party at 10:00. i assumed this meant odub, but that was apparently not the case. we were leaving at 10 til 10:00 when someone who had just driven from there told us that odub had played at 7:30 and everything was winding down. if we had only known what time odub was playing, we would have been there.
i hope to catch the rocktoberfest show.
weather is occurring.

We put a schedule out so people can see the whats going on. Sometimes we have to switch thingss around depending on HOW the event is running. The point is, if the climbers are there from the getgo, then they don't miss all the good opportunities. If we waited until 10PM, the band would have been playing to thin air. We have to make hard judgement calls on the spot to maximize the experience. Can't always stick to the schedule!

Actually Tom, My songs for the album are finished, so I'm currently working on climbing songs. I plan on having a CD of 5-8 climbing themed songs that will come free when climbers buy the album....which will be cheap anyhow, probably around 7 bucks.

I'm gonna use beats from a couple of popular songs, but completely redo the lyrics to my own style. We'll see.....
