so i know that most of you spend all day at a computer, others have much free time, and others still are just lazy and that is why we are on here pushing shit pills but i have one question.


does it really matter what the others are doing. why do we feel the need to come down on someone because they aren't "up" our standard or we aren't "down" with theirs?? is it all just fun shit talking or do you have that grain of truth stuck in your gullet and it sickens you to see others do well, for them on their level. can you truly be happy for someone if they never climb above 5.8 or is this a sign that they just suck and should give up.

dont get me wrong, i think those that pick one facet (just sport/bouldering/trad) and stop there are kind of cheating themselves. but if they are out their with a smile and aren't "fucking it up" for the rest of us, what does it really matter.

if you have an 8a account i'm not sure if you can really weigh in on this.

why does an 8a account matter, don't you have a spray list on here?

oh and shit talking is just fun, hopefully no one ever takes me seriously. And if you like climbing 5.8 and only 5.8, more power to ya, cus its really just a bad ass reason to be outside. But I started as a camper/hiker and being outside is whats most important to me, sometimes I get caught up in the numbers though and forget to look around, thats when a few good days with the 5.8 climbers brings me back to perspective.

It doesn't matter, as long as I don't have to hear the whining, bitching, and excuse making that goes on...

I understand it at the gym, cuz 98% of the gym population are whiners, but in trad climbing???

it's okay buddy! there there .... the rain will stop soon and it'll all be okay. btw did you ever get to learn all the months in the year yet? like that june is the 6th and that it's not the 5th month? Study your calendar and memorize your months and that'll pass the time until the rain quits. it's all gonna be okay.

if you have your months of the year memorized you could start on state capitols

like anti said, i just don't want somebody "fuckin it up" for all those people who spent so much time and effort and money, etc. etc. to make all this possible for us to enjoy to begin with! i'm in vehement disagreement about the smiles on the other hand... don't be bringin that shit to the crag when you can keep it at home for your sweetums! sometimes that happy-go-lucky, hippie-ass, smilin shit pisses me right the fuck off!

it only pisses me off to see anti happy, and since that never happens, my world is complete.

kramp, once again the spray list didnt have point before that was added after. if i could make a spray list private i would. its really for me and my burn out memory. also here you have to "look" for the spray list, 8a's is right there in your face as soon as you open the page.

and piggie you should know that the worse the mood i am in the better i feel which makes me happy which make you unhappy which makes me even happier.

I kind of enjoy reading about top end climbers in the same way other people read the sports page. But do I make judgements about the quality of a person based on how hard they climb? oh hell no. If a person isnt' an asshole I'll congratulate them regardless of the difficulty of climb they attempt. your ego is your ego have fun with it
