Southern layout

This weekend, I was scoping out the roads to some of the southern region crags in order to rough out a map for the area. (Of course, in a rented Camry, I wasn't exploring much!) Take a look at this:

Do I have this right:
ML: Motherlode
BM: Bob Marley
DB: Drive By
OC: Oil Crack
IB: In Between
A: Arena

Is Bob Marley correct and what is the "?" 'hollow'?

Kinda. The last hollow that you have marked as IB is the Arena and only the southeast side of it is In Between. It's really all part of Arena. Not sure why it needs a separate name.
The mystery hollow is unnamed and doesn't have any climbing in it. Chossy stuff.
The Motherlode is actually the hollow in the very bottom right corner of the photo. To it's left is the "Brotherlode" or something like that which has a few routes in it. The next one (where you have ML) is nothing and doesn't have any potential so I've heard.
The big long hollow to its left that is shaped like a banana is Sore Heel Hollow. It might have some routes in it. 8)

It wasn't bad driving down there on Sunday. We drove a Ford Tempo in to the parking spot right at the base of the Oil Crack.

Vive le Roi!

Sore Heel, eh? The thing I guessed was the 'Lode sure looks like it would be geologically similar to the Motherlode and the "Brotherlode". Too bad I don't have time to explore.

Well, I'm revising this to show the established crags. With some feedback on that, I'll try to work up a road map so no one needs to end up as freakin' lost around there as I've been.

Mostly. I think that some of them are crag lines and some may be other types of construction.

OK, does this look right?

Take a look at the lines I've added for the main faces of the crags. I've never been to Bob Marley, so that's all guessing - how close am I?

Once this is about right, I'll make a map that shows the "main" roads for accessing the crags.

All the bright areas are on top (along with the roads) and the horseshoe shapes are the outlines of the crags themselves. So kind of scootch 'em all to the right and you're on it. The Motherlode has that weird rhombus-like shape to its amphitheater. Thus, Stain is right under your text, then the face angles straight right to almost a point, then comes back toward the bottom just under the road end on top.
You can see the road that goes to Oil Crack just to the right of the text "Drive-by". It has that sharp curve at the bottom of the hill by the pond. Scooby Doo is about where the "L" is in your text for "Oil". The "K" is about where Sidekick is. The end of the hooked line is about where The Shaft is.

This is very cool - esp for someone who is as geographically challenged as yours truly!
