We met Fred at Long Wall one time...he was climbing in a sit harness that was tied out of webbing... I had no clue who he was, Lurk had to inform me!!

I took him up Roadside Attraction a couple of years ago when he was here doing a slide show and staying with the webers. I'll never forget it.
Oh man, he is messing that up. However, he is missing his left leg so that way would probably be harder for him. SCIN, just before spraying some beta for a climber doing a route the WRONG way.

nice article for a kickass guy. longtime hero of mine, reading his guides to the north cascades are inspiring. The stuff he did back in the day in his teens and twenties are completely nuts even with all the equipment/training/knowledge of today.
