Eastern US Bouldering

I have never been on a bouldering trip before and was wondering what the decent destinations were in the eastern US. I have checked out rocktown and hp40 online but have heard other names mentioned on here that have been difficult to get good information about. Distance from Louisville is a factor as getting time off from work/school can be difficult, although farther suggestions might become an option for spring break. Also, if anyone knows which areas have decent concentrations of V4 and under that would be cool too. Thanks.

Rocktown, HP 40, Stone Fort (LRC), all around Boone, NC, New River, and the Lilly Boulders. In that order.

I've heard Rumbling Bald is good as well.

Definitely go to rocktown and HP40. Those 2 places alone should keep you entertained for a very long time. There really are only a handful of places in the country that can compete with the quantity and quality of the bouldering in those 2 spots.

Rumbling bald and So Ill should be up there on the list. SoIll might be one of the closest, and the Holy Boulders are really sweet.

So ill is fairly close, but it's a much more find a problem and climb it, not really a place for worrying about grades. I really enjoy it, Dixon Springs is one of my favorites, kind of small, but a lot of unexplored stuff and just a nice park all around.
