The ones already on your rack. any of the name brand cams are good, but I prefer the black diamond c4's for range and effectiveness.

the cans at Platinum are usually shiny and new, durablity can be an issue, for the tried and true go with Camalots East

depends. there is no consensus. buy whatever is on sale at your local gear shop, you'll be fine. and don't forget nuts.

I like BD's for hands to fists and TCUs for fingers and smaller, WCs for the really big stuff. And yes, don't forget teh nuts- I won't leave the ground without my oval full of small stoppers, they don't weigh nothin' and will save your ass when it gets thin and dicey. Not a big fan of c3s or DMMs. :|

I started my rack with a few Trango pieces and then fleshed it out with Friends. Then, like trying smack for the first time, I experimented with BD Camalots. I have been hooked ever since. They are the best. However - that doesn't mean that I have given up the trango - they all work.
