Yes, Fremont canyon some good climbing and there are places opening up in Sheridan. There is a lot that could be developed in Casper in my opinion, you might have to hike to get to it though. There is more, but I am not a local.

I lived in Casper for a year way back in the seventies..Fremont canyon..Sweetwater rocks..Lankin Dome..Devils Tower a few hours away.
There is a lot of rock around there, but not really that close to town. Up on Casper mountain there's a bit of short stuff..nothing to write home about though. Further back on Muddy mountain there was some stuff that look interesting.

you better like wind if you move there. It's one of the windiest towns in the USA. You'll either learn to ignore it or go insane. Imo, the town is a real armpit nothing redeeming about it at all. Fremont is pretty cool (closest crag) you got to weekend everything else.

There are a few routes right above the city as well but fremont in the closest high quality rock climbing. The town itself is pretty drab culturally and aesthetically, but as a launching pad for other climbing areas it's pretty sweet. There's a Falcon guide for Freemont. As a side note i believe Arno was working in the oil industry in Casper while he cut his climbing teeth in fremont canyon. And of course there's always DEVIL'S f'ing TOWER right up the way.
Finally if you lived through the 80's you will feel a pleasant sense of nostalgia in the feathered whisps of hair of the lady folk.

This is all very true...although there are crags closer than Fremont..
There were a lot of millionaires when I lived there ( the energy boom of the late 70's...oil, coal, uranium..) some of that wealth trickled out to the city proper, but it was still an ugly place in a beautiful setting..
Not to mention it's Dick Cheney's home town.
