that fucking sucks. they are (were) by far the best climbing magazine. there last one (no. 25) was fucking sick. all about the only place that matters in climbing, Yosemite.

hopefully it just means all the folks there will just get more time to be out in the mountains. I hope it is temporary and something will come along that can meet the standards it set.
Oh, wait, there is already Urban Climber WTF am I talking about, I can just subscribe to that now.

The local Barnes & Noble doesn't carry it so I never read it. sounded too specific , aimed towards a pretty small demographic most of which don't pay for things like magazines-- doomed to fail from the start but sounded like a decent mag

Then its relatively obvious you never read it... because it was hardly aimed at a smaller demographic than any other mag. Same stuff... better writing and photos. Better quality paper. All of which equaled more expensive. That may have been its downfall...
