A fire was started sometime around 3 am over by the nada tunnel. currently 77 is open; however, tunnel ridge road is closed.
At 7 am it had only burned about 3 acres, but the Forrest Service expects it to get significantly larger before it is contained. The fire last week burned 150 acres before it was contained.
Please remember fires are only permitted in established fire pits/rings in commercial camping areas in Powell and Wolf counties at the present time. Hopefully it will rain soon...
