Then read this:

This kind of crap happens all the time. Innocent people get killed, and the police are not held responsible. When are we going to put an end to this shit? It is morally reprehensible that we allow no-knock raids to continue.

Welcome to last week.
Funny that this is even shocking, happens all the time. This culture has graduated so far past innocent til proven guilty that it's not even a consideration anymore.
Indictment by the media is the way the American justice system works. We all know in this case it's the cops that were wrong (purely because in this case the mayor has more media credibility).

This shit has been going on forever, and we ought to be getting pretty sick and tired of it. At least this time they only shot the family pets, no grandmas or dads just trying to protect their loved ones from armed and violent home invaders.

Police are fucking cowards. All over some weed to boot- try rolling into a crackhouse like that and get a face full of buckshot. At least this time it happened to someone "important". Makes me want to jam some Body Count!

The Calvo case, however, had several other factors working for it that I think help explain why it got so much media attention. Mayor Calco and his wife are white, middle class progressives, who live in a two-story, red-brick house in a Washington suburb. In addition to being a part-time mayor, Calvo works at a nonprofit foundation that runs boarding schools. His wife is a state finance officer. All of which suggests they’re in precisely the same demographic as most MSM reporters. The Washington Post or NY Times reporters look at this case and immediately think: “It could happen to me!â€

Wow, you almost sound progressive, Mr. Day. I must've missed your conversion in my long absence...
