Danville resident releases supernatural thriller novel

"Demon at Clear Creek" is a supernatural thriller-mystery inspired by a legend and the mystique of the Red River Gorge. It is the work of Kentucky native Robert A. Powell, who is best known for his research and writing about historical topics, especially Kentucky. However, this is not a new genre for Powell, and it is not his first work of fiction.

But...Does Oprah recommend it?

...of being a demon disguised as a man, or possessing human form, who sucks the living energy out of the people to survive.
Sounds like my boss.

Even better:
Suspense mounts as it is revealed Sam plans to accompany the innocent young family to the fireworks show, where Sheriff McNeal has determined the demon will strike next.
I was thinking kinda sarcastic thoughts reading the description, but then I realized that I've spent many hours of my life watching and enjoying episodes of "Buffy" and "The X-Files" with pretty similar story lines! I'd be interested to hear if anyone gets a chance to read it.

Sounds like it's right up there with The Mystery of Swift Camp Creek and it's indian ghosts.
