New to climbing, want to go to Gorge!!
Hey guys I have been climbing at Climb time for 3 months now and want to go to the gorge to climb. I only have a harness and am getting a rope here soon. Does anyone know what kind of rope is the best. I dont mind paying extra for a better quality rope.

Sterling ropes are awesome...but I may but a Mammut Supersafe for my next go around. I agree wit pawikes in that you should by a thicker cord when starting out....It will pay in the end...and also for your piece of mind.
Now on the same side, if you go and lead up rope draggin pitches sometimes its nice to have a thicker cord too.
Go with Sterling you cant go wrong. If you are worried about price, Bluewater always has deals, I climb on one now... a 10. 2 I think) and while they are a softer rope they give a nice catch and hold up (so far) quite well to abuse.
