4th Annual Johnny & Alex Trail Day, Saturday, August 2,

Post by pru »

Mark your calendar and plan to come out and take care of the land you own, the Pendergrass-Murray Recreational Preserve, in honor of two GREAT men of the Red: John Bronaugh & Alex Feezel, John's son. We will be building and maintaining trails and, after a hard day’s work, having a great party with live music and “beveragesâ€

This year's t-shirt is going to kick a whole lotta ass. Here is the design, by Brian Maslyar. Colors are still being determined:

One of the most pressing needs will be for materials. You can write off your donations! Keep those receipts and make a copy for our records and we will get letters to the folks who need them. The IRS does not require proof of donation from the RRGCC for any amount under $250, i.e. you can donate $20 worth of landscape timbers and all you need to do is keep the receipt and itemize on your taxes. Used material can also be donated at going rates, if you give pressure treated material from a deck or playset tear down you can deduct the value of that material (a common way to estimate this value is to see what the cost of a new board etc. would be and subtract 10 - 15% depending on the condition of the material).

Katie and I are in just for the slip and slide, volleyball, and bluegrass. pm me or post what you guys need for materials. Depot and Lowes have sales going on right now on some landscaping timbers...we can pick some up and head south for sure.

Gus, that will be wonderful! I'll find out more about what is needed and let you know.

Meadows, RRO, I so totally agree with you.

And for the rest of you, you can't get this amazing t-shirt unless you come work, so I hope you are making your plans!

Driskel, just saw your post. Thank you! I dunno if they are needed, but I'll find out. If they are, we'll get them to the Gorge. I'll just have to scare up some help. I'm pretty sure I'd tear something if I tried to do it.
