Doing all that road work is amazing - thank you!

The incident you describe with a neighbor being hit (grazed, but still hit by a car!) by an irresponsible MV visitor is really worrying.

Wow.....the generousity and steadfastness of these guys are amazing...Many people would have just closed thier property for good...and with incidents like what happened why would we blame them?

I would be sad, but not surprised if the webers closed Muir. It is a shame that people can't behave.

Another possibility, if it comes down to it, is doing a Little Rock City-style online daily registration with limited climbing and parking passes available. That way there's accountability with each car and climber, also limiting traffic and impact.
