Solo TR

Post by jordancolburn »

I stopped on my way home toy west Ky today, at Hunters Bluff(or is it called dawson bluffs, i don't really know). I'd bouldered alone here, but heard that there was some easy access to toprop anchors so i decided to try solo toproping with a gri gri. It worked out pretty well actually, anyone else tried this?

Lead or go home.

There are a couple gizmos that self feed pretty well. It worked for me once or twice. It was just spooky climbing alone. I prefer a partner or two.

I do too...it was just for a random stop to get some vertical time in when I can't find a partner. Like you said it was a little spooky. Theres no real way to lead with a gri gri is there. I've heard of the silent partner or something for that.
