Outside. I get it no one cares, I'll tell fart jokes from now on. You may quote me, not on the fart jokes part.

Back on topic, well sort of. I was able to onsight another route that is at the top of my limit this weekend. So, I am thinking of picking a few of the 12a projects suggested earlier in the thread.

How many goes should I expect it to take before I start ticking some of these?

What was your experience when first moving to 12a?

I think if you have a good base with about 60 5.11s your step up to the 5.12 should be OK with not too much strugle. :D

Only 37, I guess I have a ways to go then. Most of the 11s are 11- too so more time in 11+ would help probably. :)

When I started climbing in fall of 1991 it took me 1 1/2 years to do my first 5.12 but very soon learned to go back and pick up some of the techinque I needed since the second 5.12 came a year later, by that time I had tons of 5.11s and truly could concentrate on the 5.12 level. When it came to the 5.13 level...I wasn't at all in a hurry for that one...did lots of 5.12s maybe more than I really needed to jump to the next level but also by then I could care less about the number and more about the line and the movement.
