...until it cools off down here in the dirty south, there's no new shots to share

not truly climbing... but here's me rappelling into the first big drop of keyhole canyon in zion... you rappel 30 feet down this slot into a chest deep pothole of freezing cold water... swim yourself over to the sandy rounded edge and try to get out. canyoneering is not a rest day activity. it's more like offwidth climbing. we had 3 rappells into cold pools, and then you chimney traverse for 50 feet to avoid a long swim in a bottomless pool. Only afterward did jenn tell me that when she worked for the park they used wet suits for this canyon. LOL!

i feel for you, i don't generally go through wet canyons unless i have a dry suit on (luckily my brother works for an outfitter in Springdale). we did keyhole as a warm up and then threw the wet packs on top of the car and drove to the tunnel in our dry suits and helmets to do Pine Creek. Pine is such a great canyon, if you get out there again rent some suits and do it.
