Climbing Photo Thread, Vol. 2
Thanks Meadows, nice and discreet, my parents don't even know I have ink.
..and thanks to Wes and Blake and Terry and everyone else on the rebolting crew. And thanks to Matt, and Piggie, and Hugh, and Allah, and Tim, and Jared, JJ, and Karla and everyone else for putting up lines we will enjoy. You people are what make the Red the Red.
I will never snake your lines!

No pics have been posted to this topic this week--What a travesty! In case any of the rest of you rely upon photo's on this site as a little escape from your work week, here are some photos from last spring/fall.

And, because I am narcississistsistic, here's a shot of me, on 'Pain Grain' in Buttermilk Country (photo by John H)
...until it cools off down here in the dirty south, there's no new shots to share

not truly climbing... but here's me rappelling into the first big drop of keyhole canyon in zion... you rappel 30 feet down this slot into a chest deep pothole of freezing cold water... swim yourself over to the sandy rounded edge and try to get out. canyoneering is not a rest day activity. it's more like offwidth climbing. we had 3 rappells into cold pools, and then you chimney traverse for 50 feet to avoid a long swim in a bottomless pool. Only afterward did jenn tell me that when she worked for the park they used wet suits for this canyon. LOL!
jenn in the splitter crack of Pot Belly in Yosemite.
jenn nearing the top of Sloth Wall in Yosemite. giant holds and a mostly good crack for gear... until the last 40 feet. yikes!
me topping out something at DL Bliss boulders, Lake Tahoe.

JB-
i feel for you, i don't generally go through wet canyons unless i have a dry suit on (luckily my brother works for an outfitter in Springdale). we did keyhole as a warm up and then threw the wet packs on top of the car and drove to the tunnel in our dry suits and helmets to do Pine Creek. Pine is such a great canyon, if you get out there again rent some suits and do it.

Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.
