Thank you for really understanding.
So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell,
Blue skys from pain.
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

pink floyd in 'learning to fly' wrote:Into the distance, a ribbon of black
Stretched to the point of no turning back
A flight of fancy on a windswept field
Standing alone my senses reeled
A fatal attraction holding me fast, how
Can I escape this irresistible grasp?
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, i
Ice is forming on the tips of my wings
Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything
No navigator to guide my way home
Unladened, empty and turned to stone
A soul in tension thats learning to fly
Condition grounded but determined to try
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, i
Above the planet on a wing and a prayer,
My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air,
Across the clouds I see my shadow fly
Out of the corner of my watering eye
A dream unthreatened by the morning light
Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night
Theres no sensation to compare with this
Suspended animation, a state of bliss
Cant keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, i

Alistair Hennessey: How are things going with your - what are you calling it? Leopard fish?
Steve Zissou: Jaguar shark.
Alistair Hennessey: Jaguar shark! So tell me - does it really exist?
Steve Zissou: [hesitant] You know, Allie, I don't want to give away the ending.

Funny story. We were climbing at Roadside this weekend and a guy was bouldering up the first part of Synchronicity. He says, "hey maybe I should fre solo." I said "the last guy who did that died."
They didn't think it was funny but I bet Terry was laughing.

Damn.....Paul you had to put the words to Floyd on here, as I read them, I turned on Rhapsody and play 'Wish you were here", my eyes well up somewhat suprisingly, somewhat uncontrollably. Whats up with me? me and Terry where only freinds in passing who had a few breif but deep conversations about nothing important, but how he made them seem as if they were. Terry had that way about him, always left me stupid, confused, but enlightened none the less. And Spragwa, your to blame as well, not as much as myself or paul, but your simple recollection of a private moment with total strangers, was one Terry would find overtly amusing and laugh in the way only Terry could, sucks to have heard it only one time....Sorry this is'nt usually text book Gunslnga, but the moment caught me off guard and I can think of no better reason to cry than about our freind Terry at this moment ................

isn't that the truth. after a few things that happened on sunday and just feeling bad about a few things to begin with, i almost had a little moment on a route at torrent. more than anything, though, i try to not be incredibly mad at him.
...i get goosebumps all the time now. i guess it reminds me that he really was under my skin.
..and i'm sure he'd probably look at all this and say, "how gay is that?" and that makes me smile a little. still miss him and don't think that will change any time soon..
sorry for the rant.. mostly i hope no one reads these. just something i do for myself honestly.
