Yea, I didn't think of that. A larger intercept would give an advantage to climbers with a greater number of sends.

The trad advantage is that you get to play with cool toys. Thats the only advantage. Other than that, it makes you a weak minded pansy.

I don't particularly know or care given I suck, but methinks piggie has justified more points for trad. It takes more time and money (and thus dedication and energy in some form) to bother learning trad and buying a rack.

The only way to reward everyone is change the points scale to reflect exponential increase in difficulty and then put the points ranking and routes ticked rankings on the same page as separate but equal measures of accomplishment. Or just leave everything alone and leave people with something to debate else we get stuck with another knee pad thread.
