Oh man. Homer was one of the kindest souls I've ever had the pleasure to meet. He was an amazing man.

oh no... just put a sad note in my day. Homer was amazing. I remember going to his little store on Lexington Avenue to get my fiddle worked on. He restrung my bow on several occasions and was one of the nicest folks you'd ever care to meet.

To hear him play Amazing Grace on the saw was truly transcendent for me, and assures me that he is doing just fine in the great beyond.

I got the first two Sparklehorse records and the New Robyn Hitchcock and a live RH! YAY ME!!!

I've been grooving on the Beatles - Love thing. It sounds amazing and the recombinations are clever and often king of amazing. At the same time one of the medley kind of pieces sounds a little too much like it was "meant" for a Vegas show with Cirque de Soleil... which it was. But still, It's hard not to be a little purist about the Beatles.

On a live wire right up off the street
You and I should meet
Junebug skipping like a stone
With the headlights pointed at the dawn
We were sure we'd never see an end to it all
And I don't even care to shake these zipper blues
And we don't know
Just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below
Double cross the vacant and the bored
They're not sure just what we have in store
Morphine city slippin dues down to see
That we don't even care as restless as we are
We feel the pull in the land of a thousand guilts
And poured cement, lamented and assured
To the lights and towns below
Faster than the speed of sound
Faster than we thought we'd go, beneath the sound of hope
Justine never knew the rules,
Hung down with the freaks and the ghouls
No apologies ever need be made, I know you better than you fake it
To see that we don't even care to shake these zipper blues
And we don't know just where our bones will rest
To dust I guess
Forgotten and absorbed into the earth below
The street heats the urgency of sound
As you can see there's no one around

killer lyrics, always liked the Butterfly thing "the world is a vampire" also, RIP Homer, my wife and I went to the visitation, what a gentle soul that Homer- on a side note the dude from Woodsongs was there and I have a pretty strong poser resume but that dude puts me to shame

Through blistered Avalon
The sky's cruel torch
On aching autobahn
Into the uncertain divine
We scream into the last divine

you make me real
you make me real
strong as I feel
you make me real

Sheila rides on crashing nightingale
Intake eyes leave passing vapor trails
With blushing brilliance alive
Because it's time to arrive

you make me real
you make me real
strong as I feel
you make me real

Lately I just can't seem to believe
Discard my friends to change the scenery
It meant the world to hold a bruising faith
But now it's just a matter of grace

A summer storm graces all of me
Highway warm sing silent poetry
I could bring you the light
And take you home into the night

You make me real
Lately I just can't seem to believe
You make me real
Discard my friends to change the scenery
Strong as I feel
It meant the world to hold a bruising faith
You make me real
But now it's just a matter of grace
